MVP Soccer Camp

MVP is a nonprofit organization affording youth from all backgrounds the opportunity to build soccer and life skills in a fun-filled environment that celebrates diversity.

Since inception in 1994, more than 28,000 children have attended MVP Camps and more than 8000 have received full scholarships. No deserving child has ever been turned away simply due to an inability to afford camp tuition.

MVP’s mission evolved from the belief that in an increasingly fragmented society, it is more and more difficult for children from different socioeconomic backgrounds to meet and share life experiences together. Our mission extends far beyond sports and to the idea of “blending zip codes.” At MVP, children from different communities have the unique opportunity to play and make friends with other children they might not otherwise meet.

As we expand our offerings to soccer and other year-round programming, we are excited to have an impact on a growing number of children and families. In sports, “MVP” usually stands for “Most Valuable Player,” but here “MVP” signifies “Most Valuable Person” because there is so much more to soccer and to life than scoring the most goals. Thanks largely to our outstanding players, parents, coaches and community partners, we have delivered on the promise to our founder Stan Greene that “no child will ever be turned away due to an inability to pay,” and in the words of Stan, we know that “the world will be a better place because we were important in the life of a child.”
